Where
has Springboard been run?
To date
the program has been delivered in: the ACT, the Sunshine Coast,
Southeast NSW; Narooma (as a part of a Small Town Renewal Program);
Shoalhaven in the South Coast; Cooma; Bundaberg; and South
Australia (as part of the BESB Project Round 1); the Cities of
Marion and Onkaparinga in Adelaide; Western Sydney (Parramatta,
Blacktown and Baulkham Hills LGAs); Lake Macquarie (NSW); and the
Cities of Monash, Stonington and Melbourne. As a general rule
Councils are involved and at times they have been the main
driver.
The
program costs around $550 per head to deliver, and costs even less
when the delivering organisation has ready access to possible
participants as this reduces the marketing effort. To date
public subsidies have underpinned the program allowing the cost
paid by participants to be kept below $200 each. Participants have
readily been prepared to pay up to $200 per head to undertake the
program, which involves nine two hour sessions. |
